Multi-disease outbreak intelligence and reporting platform
Designed and built a multi-disease outbreak intelligence platform for Ghana Health Service, centralizing situational reports, vaccination tracking, and public health communications across multiple diseases into a unified system with a secure administrative backend.
Managing outbreak information across multiple diseases, each with its own reporting cycle, vaccination programme, and public communication need was fragmented. No single system could give the response team or the public a unified, up-to-date picture across diseases. Each outbreak was essentially managed in isolation.
Built a full web-based disease outbreak intelligence and reporting platform from the ground up. The system brings together situational reports, vaccination tracking with live updates, public-facing disease tabs, and a structured archive of historical reports, all under a secure admin dashboard with role-based access, CSRF protection, audit logging, and content security policy headers. Deployed on cloud infrastructure with load balancing for reliability. Coordinated requirements and validation across the Disease Surveillance Department, the Expanded Programme on Immunization, and the Ghana Health Service IT department to make sure the system reflected how these teams actually worked and what they actually needed.
A modular, multi-disease outbreak reporting platform capable of serving both internal response teams and the public, with structured epidemiological reporting, real-time public communication, and administrative control over what gets published and when.
